Section 3: Usage

3.1 Preferences

Kelli's Recipe Box is actually so simple to use, there's only one preference, which is the location of the Recipes folder. Note that if the main Kelli's Recipe Box folder is ever relocated, you'll have to set this preference again to reflect the new location.

To get the current Recipes folder location, just locate it in your Finder (Mac) or Explorer (Windows). Mac users can then drop the Recipes folder onto the droplet "PathToClipboard" (Figure 3.1.1), which will copy the folder's path to the clipboard. Windows users can navigate to the Recipes folder and copy the folder's path from the Windows Explorer Address bar (Figure 3.1.2).

If no Recipes folder path has been assigned, the message in Figure 3.1.3 appears on the main screen. Clicking the red underlined text link will bring up the Preferences dialog (Figure 3.1.4), where the Recipes folder path can be pasted. Clicking the OK button registers the folder path. If a path is already set, it can be replaced by selecting the menu item Kelli's Recipe Box > Preferences.
